Meet Darlene Hastings
Some people spend years figuring out what they want to do—but I’ve known since I was five. I wanted to be a real estate agent, just like my great-aunt, who was one of the first women Realtors of her generation. She paved the way with grit and grace, and I was lucky enough to grow up watching her turn hard work and heart into a lifelong career of service.
From the first time I saw Nashville as we moved here when I was 10 years old, I LOVED IT. Nashville was home the first time I saw it, and love it just as much today as I did then. I started in real estate at a time when agents toured new listings together each week, attended weekly company training as a team, and were fined for missing a sales meeting. The saying was: If you weren’t working weekends and holidays, you weren’t working.​
And we loved it. That early foundation built my belief in collaboration, commitment, and the kind of client care that never goes out of style.
Even now, decades later, I still light up at the chance to help someone find their next home, investment, or fresh start. Being part of such a personal, pivotal moment in people’s lives is a privilege—and it’s what keeps me passionate about this business year after year.
Over the years, I’ve sold hundreds of homes and earned just about every award in the
book—Top Sales Agent, Top Team, Lifetime Member of the Hall of Fame, RE/MAX Top
Awards, and consistently ranked in the top 1% of agents nationwide. Yes, I’ve got the plaques on the wall—but the real reward has always been the people. The relationships. The trust. The chance to walk with someone through one of life’s biggest transitions. That’s an honor I never take lightly.
